Dr. E. Michael Williams earned his Medical Degree from the esteemed Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then moved to the Tampa Bay area, where he completed an internship at University Community Hospital, followed by a two-year residency at Northside Hospital & Heart Institute in St. Petersburg.

Dr. Williams' interest in hair loss began while working in Family Practice. There he met patients of all races and ages, both male and female, suffering from the emotional distress caused by thinning hair or baldness. His compassion for his patients motivated him to become a hair transplantation surgeon. "My approach, as a doctor, is to treat the whole patient, both psychologically and medically," Dr. Williams stated, "Hair transplantation is the only way to implement that philosophy when it comes to patients suffering from hair loss. It's the only permanent solution to alopecia."

Working under the direction of Dr. Matt Leavitt, the Founder and Medical Director of Medical Hair Restoration, Dr. Williams completed the prestigious MHR Fellowship in Hair Transplantation Surgery. He maintained his Tampa address while commuting to the world-renowned Medical Hair Restoration facility, which is twenty miles north of Orlando, for the rigorous training. "It's a long commute from my home," said Dr. Williams, "But I strongly believe that the only way to achieve excellence is to train and learn from the best, and Dr. Leavitt is just that!"

Because of Dr. Williams' comprehensive medical training, and the excellent results he consistently achieved while completing the MHR Fellowship, Dr. Matt Leavitt invited him to join the Medical Hair Restoration team of surgeons.

For Dr. Williams, the most satisfying aspect of being a hair transplant surgeon is when patients return to see him, with a full head of hair. "I love to hear how much my patients' lives have changed because of their restored hair," he said. "It is very gratifying to be responsible for their boost in self-esteem." Dr. Williams also offers hair transplantation for eyebrows, eyelashes and moustaches, as well as reconstructive hair restoration surgery for burn patients.
